Research Interests:
At the moment, I'm interested in the cell biological programs that drive the development and specification of cell types within the context of their circuits. In particular, I find the roles of non-neuronal cell types in shaping circuitry and function quite fascinating; especially as they relate to ethologically relevant behaviors, because I believe natural behaviors are the key to understanding basic principles of neuronal function and computation that may be conserved across species.

Fun Facts:
What is a superpower you wish you had?
The ability to see the future, but only so I could read all the books and novels that haven't been written yet.
What historical figure would you like to have dinner with and what would you ask them?
Mitochondrial Eve, and I wouldn't ask anything because they likely wouldn't be able to understand me
