Research Interests:
At the moment, I'm interested in the cell biological programs that drive the development and specification of cell types within the context of their circuits. In particular, I find the roles of non-neuronal cell types in shaping circuitry and function quite fascinating; especially as they relate to ethologically relevant behaviors, because I believe natural behaviors are the key to understanding basic principles of neuronal function and computation that may be conserved across species.
