Research Interests:
I am interested in the collective migration of glial precursors and how these cells contribute to the organization of the peripheral nervous system (PNS). During PNS development, glial precursors migrate throughout the body to generate a variety of location-specific cell types. To traverse these distances efficiently, glial precursors migrate collectively. The phenomenon of collective glial precursor migration remains poorly understood and characterized. My research focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms guiding glial scaffold assembly, as well as the functional and transcriptional differences between scaffold glia and non-migrating ganglion glia in the cochlea.
